Name: Mari Chandler, Mountain View, CA
Day job: Train Full Time by day, Deployment and Licensing Specialist
for Documental Solutions part time by night
Favorite gear: This will be my first season using inov-8, so no favorites yet.
Plans for 2008: I’d like to race as much as I can this year and help my team win as many
races as we can all while having fun and staying injury free.
Primary sport: Running
Year you first became a team member: 2006
Notable Achievements: I've been known to tow a male teammate (or 2) during the running sections of
a race.
A memorable moment during a race or training run: So far my most memorable moment would have
to be kayaking in 15 foot swells in the Pacific Ocean during the 2007 Baja Travesia race. It was by
far the scariest water I have ever been in and hope to be in. Nine race boats were lost or destroyed
in the storm that came in with some teams being rescued by the Mexican Navy.
